WHO IS WOODINVILLEBLOG.com

WoodinvilleBlog.com is a group of Woodinville residents  much like yourself, who watched the last Woodinville election with bewilderment, a certain disorientation, and a definite sigh of relief when it was over.

None of us could recall a Woodinville campaign where such a murky stew of misinformation and half-truths was presented to a public without the time or knowledge to be able to examine these claims and compare them with the evidence. We saw facts being buried under a compost of rumors, speculation, and baloney. It was then that we decided we would like to try to make a difference in a way that made sense for us - in our own little corner of Woodinville cyberspace.

Our goal is to use this web site and blog as a communication method for providing the residents with information on Woodinville’s political, environmental and economic issues using a 'pull no punches' style. Likewise we hope to be a forum for residents to be able to talk to each other, ask the questions, debate the issues and get the information they need to keep informed.

We intend to ask the hard questions, scrutinize and research the issues, propose counter-arguments and positions, and vet stories for accuracy.

So, you may ask, how do we know what we know and where do we get our information. Facts aren’t hard to find if you want to find them. Many documents are available through the Public Open Records Act and the internet. We do spend some time at different city meetings, including Council meetings. And we do get leads for friends and neighbors.

Perhaps our efforts will help you become better informed about the issues and the political agendas. And should we make you laugh along the way, you should know up front that it is purely intentional! But rest assured that when it comes to the community, we take it very seriously

This site and our editorials may not suit everyone, so some days we may hit a home run and other days we may strike out. We hope that you remain in the readership, participate in the debate and learn something about the issues. We welcome your feedback. Woodinville Blog is not affiliated in any way with the city of Woodinville.
